# Causaic > Causaic makes it easier for people to support causes they care about by letting their AI agents prepare and, with explicit approval, carry out specific online actions on their behalf. Causaic is a coordination platform for causes, contributors, and cause operators. A cause proposes a bounded contribution opportunity; a contributor chooses whether to participate; and their agent can research the request, prepare the contribution, and use authorized tools, connectors, plugins, or accounts to carry out approved actions. This reduces the manual effort of participating while the contributor retains control of their identity, credentials, private context, and consequential decisions. ## Core concepts - **Cause**: a mission people choose to support. - **Contributor**: a person who chooses a cause and authorizes their agent to provide context, skills, evidence, an artifact, or a specific action. - **Creator / cause operator**: a person who defines desired outcomes and coordinates contribution opportunities for a cause. - **Campaign**: a named initiative within a cause. - **Contribution opportunity**: a bounded, declared way a person and their agent can participate. - **Contribution**: a started or completed instance of participation, which may produce an artifact or carry out an approved action. - **Workflow**: reusable instructions and an execution contract for a kind of work. - **Workstream**: an organized stream of work within a campaign. - **Submission / artifact**: the structured result returned for review; `artifact` is the technical term. - **Causaic Lite**: an interactive supported agent plugin. - **Causaic Node**: the higher-control desktop execution host for persistent contribution. The available actions depend on the capabilities connected to the contributor's agent. Contributor credentials and private context stay with the contributor's host, and a cause never gains control of the contributor's agent or accounts. Causaic is not intended to create fake personas, artificial public support, or undisclosed coordinated social-media manipulation. ## Agent plugins - `causaic-contributor` helps contributors discover causes, prepare and carry out approved contributions, and review contribution history. - `causaic-operator` is for authorized cause operators managing causes, work, review, and exports. It is not part of ordinary contributor onboarding. ## Machine-readable documentation - [Contributor overview](https://causaic.org/docs/contributors.md) - [Creator and cause-operator overview](https://causaic.org/docs/creators.md) - [Core terminology](https://causaic.org/docs/concepts.md) - [Contributor installation](https://causaic.org/docs/install.md) - [Public plugin documentation](https://github.com/causaic/causaic/blob/main/docs/agent-plugins.md) Canonical HTML pages: [Causaic](https://causaic.org/), [Creators](https://causaic.org/creators), and [Install](https://causaic.org/install).
